Drop Charges:
- Midsize, Sporty, Fullsize and Premium cars may be returned to another location other than the renting location but subject to a drop charge. All other car classes must be returned to the original renting location.
- Hawaii: Economy, Compact, Sporty, and Fullsize may be returned to a location other than the returning location, but will be subject to drop charges. All other classes must be returned to the renting location.
- Florida: No drop charges for all car classes picked up and returned within the State of Florida. Car classes Midsize, Sporty, Fullsize may be returned outside the state but will be subject to drop charges.
- California: No drop charges for all car classes picked up and returned within the State of California.
- Canada: One way rentals are only available for rentals over 2 days. Only car midsize and fullsize available for one-way rentals. All one-way rentals must be confirmed in advance.
Rules of Rental:
- PLEASE NOTE: The lead name on the reservation must match the name of the primary driver.
- Driver must have a valid driver's license at time of rental.
- St Maarten only: Driver must be 25 years of age to rent a car.
- Driver must be 21 years of age or older.
- Drivers under age 25 will be required to pay an underage
driver fee of $25.00 per day (varies by location & car class).
- Hertz may conduct a review of your driver's license status and driving record. Hertz can deny rental based on your driving history for unused days of the rental.
- Car rentals are not allowed across US-Mexico or US-Canada.
- Additional driver fee of $9.00 per day/max $45.00 per rental will
apply. Varies by location.
- Car rentals are based on a 24 hour time period.
- Hertz does not offer a grace period between times of pick-up
and drop-off of car rentals.
- Hertz will not refund any unused days or hours of the rental.
- Child seats required by state law.
